Branch Out Newsletter – June 2024

Tasmanian Irrigation delivered a record 94,137 megalitres of irrigation water to 30 April to help farmers offset the impacts of the extended dry. That’s 76 per cent more than the previous year.

  • How Tasmanian Irrigation has altered its water delivery operations to assist farmers this season;
  • The latest on dam levels in light of the lack of autumn rain;
  • The next steps for the Greater South East Irrigation Scheme in the wake of the Federal Budget;
  • How Tasmanian Irrigation is consulting with irrigators regarding community management of publicly owned irrigation schemes;
  • Meet Tasmania’s new Primary Industries and Water Minister, the Hon. Jane Howlett;
